ie6 dissconnect box not showing

  butch 07:05 06 Jan 2005

The disconnect box which used to appear asking if I wish to disconnect does not appear when ie6 is closed. I have done the usual checks in the connections options but seem to remember that sometimes registry settings can be used to force the disconnect box to show. Does anyone know these settings.

Have you tried the following:

In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections tab/Settings button/Advanced button and tick the box "Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed". Then exit using the OK buttons and the Apply button, if available

Hi djwheeler,

Have tried this but still no luck, I do recall seeing this problem in a mag, they said there were registry entries which over ride the option and which have to be ammended directly.

Thanks for reply
