IE6 and access to Secure sites

  orangutang 11:44 09 May 2003

I'm running IE6 with W98 and can no longer access secure sites. The error screen displayed suggests looking at Security options and checking SSL 2.0, SSL3.0, TLS1 and PCT. I do not have PCT as an option. Also my Cipher security appears to be 0>

Any ideas how I can resolve?

Well you could try installing an additional browser such as MOZILLA which is a free download available from this site. I.E.6 is always giving me problems with XP Home as the OS. Just don't let I.E. be your default browser. This should enable you to ascertain whether its your machine or I.E. which is the problem. I tend to use Mozilla much more often now than I.E. - it's less hassle.
