The blue (in my case) bar at the top of my ie6 window displays info on the website I'm on. A friends displays the same but always starts with click here etc etc. Where do we look to set his not to show that initial part of the web address? OS=XP Pro.

are you sure you are not looking at the address bar which does start as you say?

I'm not refering to the address bar but to the coloured bar that is at the top of every window but in the case of IE it shows some text relating to the site you're on. My friend want to get rid of the "click here" part. This does not show on mine.

Control Panel/Folder Options, View tab, untick "Display full path in Title bar"

1. Brundle's info was what I required.

2. The "http://" was in double quotes to imply that that was the bit of ANY web address that was showing on my friends PC and was the bit we wanted to not show.
