After a system failure on my PC, I restored my Windows XP, from the disc supplied with the PC when purchased 12 months ago. The only problem I have yet to resolve is something to do with Java. I contacted the PC manufacturer who told me when I purchased my system, they put on a Microsoft version of Java, but cannot now do it for legal reasons.
The problem appears when trying to access certain things on websites, where Java script is needed to enter that part of the site. This is when I use Internet Explorer 6.
What I cannnot understand is if I use Netscape, all is fine. I even downloaded Sun Java and that doesn't toally work on IE6. I still cannot access all of the items on certain websites.
Anybody any ideas how I can rectify it.
