IE Taking FOREVER to display homepage?!?!?

Hiya, until recently everything's been running smoothly on my machine (shock horror!) however whenever I open Internet Explorer now the program itself loads instantly, but my homepage (google.co.uk) takes about 3 mins (which IS forever in this this age!).

Any ideas why? I've not installed an additional software, plugins, have checked for both viruses and spyware but nothing shows. I also have all the latest updates for Windows and IE etc.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

From M$

And assuming you are using the latest software..

Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.

In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.

In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, select the n-CASE program, and then click Change/Remove.
Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the program.

Close the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, and then close Control Panel.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type msconfig, and then click OK.

In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click the Startup tab.
Click to clear any check boxes for 180Solutions, Inc. programs, for n-CASE, and for msbb.exe, if they appear and are selected.

Close the System Configuration Utility dialog box.
Restart your computer.

there's no dodgy software installed that's listed under Add/Remove Programs. I've done a full text string search for each of the names you list above, however none appear to be resident in any form. Any other ideas?

I can't help feeling you have been Hijacked somehow, have a read on here, if you haven't already. click here I downloaded & installed HijackThis a few weeks ago, care is needed with the program but it gives a good idea whats going on.
