Hello,Over the last week when I have tried to use IE7 or other windows software,a box appears stating that the application failed to start.Microsoft Office,System Restore and IE7.

Event viewer is showing a lot of entries stating the source was application error.

The following is listed...Faulting application iexplore.exe version 7.0.5730.13 faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0 fault address 0xf9e85179

I am running WIN XP SP2.I have just uninstalled IE7.

Any help please.Cheers

Try a System Restore in Safe Mode - repeatedly press F8 on start-up.

Technotiger,
followed you advice, and restored the PC back to a previous state.

Just to make sure that it was IE7 that was causing the problem,I reinstalled IE7,and the pop up appeared again stating the apps failed to start.

Is this a known issue with IE7?.It worked fine for a few weeks.

Cheers

Hmm, afraid I don't know - I don't use IE7.

I use Firefox and IE6.
