After installing WMP 10 my ie icon on the desktop has dissappeared, it's not a problem, as I have created a shortcut, but was intrested to know if anyone else has had this happen to them? and if so, is there a reason?
In IE, click Tools>Internet Options and then the Advanced tab. Look under Browsing for 'Show Internet Explorer on the Desktop' and see if it is checked.Funnily enough, I have it unchecked but it still remains on the desktop...strange.
Hi Dan the confused, I haven't got that option in ie tools, there is no 'Show Internet Explorer on the Desktop'. Any other ideas?
Right click the Desktop and select Properties.Click the Desktop tab and then click Customize Desktop.Have a look under Desktop Icons.
What about control panel, add/remove software then add/remove windows components.Untick IE and then hit next, then tick the box again and hit next, should bring it back.
Took pc moron's advice again and it worked, cheers.
