IE favourites keep sorting in Alphabetical order

  lester1 22:39 01 Jul 2006

Every time I boot my favourites have sorted into alphabetical order. This is everything not just the files, the links in the files do the same.

IE6, XP Home SP2,
WIndows defender,Superantispyware,Ewido4,a2,Adaware,
Spybot,Spyware Blaster,AVG,Zonealarm.

Any ideas

and the problem is..

  lester1 22:51 01 Jul 2006

I like to have the most used ones at the top of the lists

Put an A in front of them, they will always appear at the top..

To move a Favorite to the top of the list, access the Organize Favorites dialog box, select the URL from the list, and click the Rename button. Type an A in front of the current name so the link goes to the top of the list and click Close. Your favorite site now appears at the top of your Favorites, making it easier to access quickly.

Fair enough but I never had to do this before they always stayed where I placed them

Sorted Ewido settings changes advised on another forum caused the problem.

I use Links for my most coimmonly used sites then access them from the Links toolbar.
