click ok to terminate programme
click cancel to debug pregromme
which doesnt fix it

Or this click here This could also be a windows problem,can you give us more info of exactly how this happens.
Have you run your AV and antispyware programs etc.

Maybe try running the system file checker first
sfc /scannow (note the space sfc /) understanding sfc
click here this assuming you are running XP.

Thanks yes av etc., all runing this is a random event and can come up after you have closed the prog or on opening or whilst open .I'll have alook at your suggestions but usually chicken out as soon as I see have cd-rom ready I have it but very wary

Your CD ROM is necessary to reinstall any faulty files. It will not do any harm.

Thanks guys but I have done a restore and to my knowledge the only thing that has changed is the recent updates for Microsoft office were undone . I chose Not to reinstall them and today so far the prob has not appeared X fingers and everything else. May be nowt to do with that of course.
