I have an HP Laptop which is connected to Cable Broadband Internet wirelessly. Upon switching Laptop on, Internet Explorer (IE) launches but is unable to load any web pages. However, Windows Diagnotic states there is no problem with the connection, and Zone Alarm/AVG updates appear to be able to connect to internet, as does Skype and Windows Live Messenger.
Anyone with any idea as to what the problem could be and possible solution?
Right I've gon through steps 1 to 7 as advised and ended up having to do a System Restore. On re-starting PC afterwards, I got error message that System Restore had failed.......and yet when I fired-up IE it now works!!.............hmmmm
