IE 6 wants to install Office components

I run XP pro,(SP2), use Zonealarm, AVG-(Updated and run daily).

Nearly every day on initial boot, and opening IE6, a window appears asking for the Office 2000 disk to install additional components.
This does not always happen if I close down and reboot.

Somedays I have done the install, but next day IE6 will ask for them again.
If I do not install the components IE6 will close down.

I have run spy sweeper, ad-aware and they show nothing to suggest any virus or trojan.

I have used system restore to go back to before all this started, but the message still appears.

Apart from a full, clean re-install, what can I do?

Have you tried unselecting auto update in office 2000 ?. It seems as if IE6 is trying to update it when you log on.Or run IE repair, you will need your windows disc for this though. click here
