It is some time since I bought a new HD, I am confused by some of the terms used.My Mainboard supports Ultra DMA 66/100 40 Pin IDC.The HD that i am looking at is a Western Dig. Caviar 1600JB ATA-100Is this a match made in heaven or notBJG.
UDMA is a sort of communication type; DMA common to all modern hard-disks. ATA is the interface type (parallel in this case). Your board supports ATA-66 and ATA-100.
