does anyone know where the system icons are stored in XP pro?
I'm specifically after the restart icon that shows on the shutdown options panel.
I've found some (including the default optional ones) but can't locate the one I want.

In XP icons are in Windows\system32\SHELL32.dll

Restart. C:\WINDOWS\system32\msgina.dll

hope this helps.

It's just the icon itself I want not the function that goes with it.

Tried your suggestion and the software does work but the file you listed (msgina.dll) contains the shut down icon (red one)not the restart (green one).
Any other suggestions where it might be ?
I've tried myself without a result hence my posting here.
Just to clarify, Ive got the shutdown and restart shortcuts on the desktop. Saves going to start/turn off computer/shutdown or restart.I can do it with a double click.
I want to make it more professional by using the correct icon. The shutdown one is available in the alternative icons file but the restart is not.
A lot of my friends are interested in this so I want to do it properly.

It's not a big deal so don't lose any sleep over it.
Thanks for your help so far.
