IBM thinkpad keyboard problem...

  nick_j007 19:00 06 Oct 2006

My partners Thinkpad is playing up.
We had this before and can't remember the solution...probably simple.

When pressing the JKL, UIO,and 789 keys the number equivalent will come up instead of the letter. The numbers lock key does not make a diiference, and a light at the top remains illuminated witha '1' inside.

Any ideas please?

The number lock toggle on/off for Thinpads is usually Shift + ScrLK

Shift and the key titled ScrLk / Numlk has taken it off.
