i3 chip with 4gb ram or i5 chip with 2gb ram...

Which one is best for an accountant who will probably be doing a lot of number crunching with big spreadsheets?

More RAM is perhaps more useful ultimately.
2GB isn't anything special these days... although fine for most users.

It's relatively cheap to add though to most systems if needed...

If it came down to 2 or 4 gb I would take 4 and the lesser processor.

Don't forget to check out about the problem with 'Sandy Bridge' fault. I know nothing about this other than the info in News on pca click here& and others comments in Speakers Corner.
