I need a new fan for an ATI Radeon 9100 Video Card

  joethebow 13:42 23 Jul 2005

The fan I have is verry noizy. It's around 4cm accross with a thin plastic ring that attaches it to the glued in heatsink with 4 screws.

A Pentium 1 fan is the correct size but no way will it fit into or onto the heatsink.

I have no idea where to start looking for a replacement fan.

Your best bet is Maplins (click here) for a new heatsink + fan.

Why not try a drop of very THIN oil, sewing machine oil or '3 in 1'. Dip a straightened paper clip into the oil to transfer a very small drop. The bearing on the fan is usually behind a circular sticker.
