I have a problem with my audio and the pc keeps asking for this "cmuda.sys" file. I have spent a many hours on the net trying to hunt one down with no luck, can someone point me in the right direction.

Can you reinstall the audio drivers - say, soundcard drivers or motherboard drivers (if on board audio).

Is it an Elite mobo?

If so this link may help:

or, depending on whether you have an 8738 or 9738 C-Media onboard chipset:

Some suggestions here as well:

I use to have the C-Media 8738 onboard sound - quite amazing quality including 3D for such a low cost component.

Some MSI mobos also use C-Media onboard sound chipsets.
