I like my computer because

It gives me an intellectual stimulus trying to resolve my own, and other peoples problems.
It gives me an ability to search any subject I care to be interested in (and some I'm not)
I can track my changing finacial position every 10 minutes, which these days usually breaks my heart when I examine my hard earned pension fund and shares.
Mostly I enjoy this forum for it's cyber combradeship, and willingness to help others.

I agree with everything you say, but would like to add that it keeps me out of the pub thus saving me money. As I grow older using a computer keeps me mentally alert and gives me a common bond with the younger generation

again i agree with the above and i think i would be lost without the pc and the internet, the only thing that has happened for the worst is my eyesight isn't as good as it was,but that could be just that i'm getting old :o)

Double? thank you I dn't mind if I do.
That shows my age!!

  rawprawn 20:22 03 Jul 2009

I must apologise, perhaps I have had too many doubles, this post should be in Speakers Corner.
Perhaps FE would be kind enough to move it and correct my mistake.

I too agree with all above, fighting age is essential and computing with all its benefits, trials, tribulations and the unending help you receive from forum members - many of whom I now realise are probably, like me, making hay whilst the sun shines.

smackheadz: Do the same as me - buy a much larger screen, nowadays, IMHO, a TV is as good as a monitor and backs a good backup if your family TV gives up the ghost.

Agree with everone + because i built it myself! and everytime i look at the flashy led fans and CCL and hard working components it remints me of when i was younger always dreaming of building/modding a super machine of some sort!! mission acomplished! ;) now just got the car to work on!! =D
