I have to reset time and date settings on boot up

Can anyone tell me why on boot up I get the message 'press F1 to enter set up to change time and date settings ? This happens on every boot up even after I have corrected the settings.

It sounds as though the CMOS battery on the motherboard is exhausted and needs to be replaced. The most commonly used battery is a CR2032 Lithium cell, which is readily available in any computer or photographic shop and most supermarkets. click here

If you have a Pound shop near you, they sell these batteries at £1 for a strip of five!!
