I don't want files 'grouped' in folder views

I'm using xp home. When viewing folder contents in explorer files are 'grouped' i.e. when name tab is clicked: in groups under A, B, C, etc or when date is clicked: Today, Yesterday etc. I just want a list with details without the groupings. I've trawled through the help and support and tried every option I can think of in Folder options but I'm blowed if I can find out how to change this. It's probably dead simple and I apologise in advance but it's driving me round the bend. Help!

Open Folder

Go to view Click. Drop down menu

Choose arrange Files by Type. Click again

Below those options is a line underneath that line is another option which is the grouping option make sure it is unticked.

In the Window where your folders are.

Click "View"...

Then Click "Details"...

Then "Arrnage icons by" Take the tick out of "Show in groups".

Can't you do the same from a right click within the folder? This was available in 95/98. Have they taken it away in XP?

Is that a "yes you can" or a "yes they've taken it away"?
