I cant update my Nortons AntiVirus definitions with LiveUpdate

LUCOMS~1.EXE is running on my Task manager .. I don't know if that's normal though ! When I try to run my Norton LiveUpdate. I get error 1821 .. Cannot update Virus Definitions ..Symantec's website intructions for this error don't tally with my experience of it.. I did a HijackThis scan and paste the results below.. If you can help me I would be very happy ! cheers

You could try doing a manual download click here When it auto updated Norton today there was a 4000k download.

yes .. thanks.. i tried that but it didnt work...

there was an update dated 18th ( yesterday) when Iooked.. downloaded that one but still the same problem..

Please tell us the exact error message.

I have Symantec NetDetect in my Task manager & clicking on Properties it Starts in: "C:\PROGRAM FILES\SYMANTEC\LIVEUPDATE". Where does LUCOMS~1.EXE start in your setup?

Have you tried contacting Symantec directly - click here . From my experience they usually respond within 2-3 working days.
