Hyperlink indications in Office XP Pro.

I proposed this thread some time ago and received some advice and sites to visit but I still am unable to find the solution to my problem, which seems to be just "it worked before but now it does'nt".
The problem. When I typed a site address in an email, EG click here, it automatically underlined itself and changed colour to blue.
Now when I type an address it changes to this;
{HYPERLINK "click here"}.
I would prefer the former as it looks much nicer so what has happened and how do I change it. Grateful for any help please.

Tools/Options, View tab. Untick "Field Codes"

field codes, thanks for that, but now the URL is just that, with no underline or colour change. Will it still work as a hyperlink ?

Just had another go and found that by selecting hyperlink from the toolbar I got what I wanted, in blue and underlined. Thanks for putting me in the right direction.
