hi there, ok, so i am new to all this and a little wet behind the ears. how do i get the best broadband deal around, and who with and then become wireless using my hewlett packard laptop. i know its celeron but not centrino.. what bits and bobs do i need to buy to make it work? also... i want to buy another laptop prefereably about £600 with wireless technology. any ideas?

There isn't a "Best" deal ... there are different best deals for different people. The best deal (value for money) is Tiscali £19.99 for 2Mbps & unlimited 24/7 UK calls (+£11 BT rental) . Thats a phone + BB.

Maybe you want 20Mbps or cable. Some people are in areas where Tiscali is very bad ... others where it's great.

I'm sure others will add their recommendations, and maybe even a "don't go near Tiscali" lol.

What you may need are:
An adsl wireless router (if you get adsl as opposed to cable NTL) and if the laptop is not wireless then a wireless card for it. Its good to stick to the same make for both.
