I recently purchased a HP Photosmart D5400 for my XP Pro system and used it successfully for a couple of days. I then tried to set up InkSaver (which I use quite happily with other printers) with it but it failed - I received no InkSaver setting window. I tried to remove it in the InkSaver Add/Remove page. Thereafter the printer would produce only blank pages; it did show the job in Preview and it did feed and eject the appropriate number of sheets. Eventually I uninstalled the driver(S) and re-installed them and it now seems to work OK again. Is there an incompatiability between InkSaver and this printer?? If others have got it to work successfully, any idea what I may have done wrong?
