I've recently bought a used HP NC4000 laptop and it works great, I would like to add an axtra memory board as they is a slot to do this on the underside. The problem is that I can't find out what type of memory it is, I know its SDRAM but that's all I know. The HP site and manuals are not mush help. Does anyone on the forum know what type and size of memory I should buy please?
Regards

James

Use the memory scanner at Crucial click here and it will tell you which memory is compatible with your laptop.

Last week I increased the memory in my wife's Vista laptop from 1GB to 2GB. The machine now runs much more quickly.

As recommended by The Kestrel, I used the Crucial Memory Scanner, and ordered the modules that they recommended. When they arrived, I used the tutorial on the Crucial website to show me how to fit the modules (I had never opened up a laptop before).

It was dead easy, and the total cost was less than £20. That may be different for your computer, of course, depending on what modules you need.
