hp 7110 printer faulty

  nhojnhoj35 16:37 22 Jun 2004

my printer keeps reporting a carriage jam.
i`ve worked through the usual printer fault finder but with no joy.
is it worth getting these things repaired?
or is there somewhere that would diagnose the fault and maybe do a quote?
it came from pc world but i dont suppose theres much point in going back there!
it cost £300 but the warranty has just run out.

the error message may suggest you have something lodged inside like a small piece of paper have a look inside first and clean as much as you can might save yourself a couple of quid, good luck

It's always looking at the HP website as they have a fairly comprehensive fault finder and are pretty good in contacting customers via email.

They are helpful, so could be worth a try.

Haven't got the link on me at the moment, but if you can't find it post back and I'll find it later.

Good luck.
