Is the Barton a 333 chip. If it is this is still a cheap first build computer board

I think you will find all Bartons are 333 chips.

AMD is also announcing the Athlon XP 2800+ running on a 333 MHz bus at 2.083 GHz frequency and an Athlon XP 2500+ at 333 MHz and 1.833 GHz frequency – both of which are Barton core processors.

I have built 2 computers using the very similar Syntax Via KT266 board, and was very pleased with the result. I used a GF2 MX400 like this one for £23.00 inc VAT from DABS.

Just built one of these click here for a friend a bit low on cash. He had 256 of 133sdram, so we picked this board. I coupled this with a click here which is a cut down 1900+ for £24.08.

A new 400W psu and a 80gig maxtor 7200 brought it to £116 delivered. And the thing fly's for the money. lol
