How to work out which is best replacement battery?

I have an Acer Aspire 3003LM which I only use for word processing and picking up E-Mails when I am away and its lasted about four years but the battery has been duff for months so I only use it connected to the mains.
Looking on the Web I see prices from £24.00 to £54.00. How do I work out which is the most reliable?

There is no way of knowing how reliable a particular make of battery is other than by the recommendation of previous users. Look at the amount of charge the various batteries hold and importantly how long they are guaranteed for. Good quality batteries tend to offer longer guarantees.
