How and where to advertise my website?

  bigdamouk 14:38 19 Apr 2003

My site click here is nearly finished and ive already submitted to Yahoo and Google because ive heard it can take a while before it appears.

What I want to know is, is there anything else I can do to advertise it, besides putting it on those two search engines?

I wouldnt mind paying for it to be advertising, but as Google want $5000 a month...its a little bit out of my range!

Hello , Nice site...but it takes a while to view your site.

Try to change png files to either jpg or gif.

If U R using fireworks slice your files.

that should speed it up.

But it still doesnt answer my original question does it? :o)

Take out some adverts in Guitar magazines maybe? Or swap links with other like-minded sites.

You could always try Addweb Promoter which submits your URL to various search engines. I've not tried it but I have a freebie cover disk with it on which you are welcome to have.

Thanks GANDALF <|:-)> It's most appreciated!

would you like me to email you?

Yup! The file is 2.5 megs so I can post it or email it, whichever is easier.

You could always try a small ad. in the local paper (you know the one) including your web address, under the relevant section.

I get most of my website addresses, apart from the ones posted here, from magazines and newspapers.

Thanks watchful, I'd almost forgot about our local paper!

Think I might give The Loot a try aswell!

Thanks All!
