Get yourself a decent firewall click here and make sure all you anti virus and scumware programs are kept up to date, you won't have any problems.

Of course safe browsing too:

1. keep AV and antispware uptodate.

2. Get a firewall like ZoneAlarm

3. Don't pay for any of the above they can be gotten for free!

4. Common sense, steer clear of dodgy sites and porn etc etc

5. Don't open unknown or suspicious looking emails.

6. Don't click links in "nasty" pop ups......

The above applies to BB or dial up. Broadband is safe, if your not gonna use the net for a while then just pull the plug on your modem!

Dear Me! I must have hit the wrong button.

As I was saying...

2. Use Zonealarm free

3. User Spybot S&D (free). If the site that you are on tries to charge you then you are on the wrong site.

4. Use Ad-Aware (free)

5. Use Spywareblaster (free)

6. Use AVG anti virus (free)

And keep checking (once a week) for updates.

Just a thought. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone kept their anti-malware software fully up to date. Then there would be no more viruses to protect against because the writers would all give up.

mine are checked for updates daily, especially the AV;sometimes two updates in a day with it:) and scan regularly with the programs to check for anything unwanted:)
