how many pcs

hi i have a netgear wgr614 wireless router which has 4 wired ports could any one tell me what is the total amount of pcs this router can take at the moment it has 4 wired and 1 wireless connected thanks Chippy

Theoretically up to 253 with the standard IP and subnet setup, but I doubt domestic routers are really powerful enough to manage that many at once.

The maximum amount that can connect to a router is 253 Users

3Com Router allow 64 wireless devices

Belkin Routers allow 32 wireless devices

hi brundle and ambra4 the reason i am asking is i had 6, 4 wired and 2 wireless but i had taken out one of the usb wireless dongles to try out my daughters new wireless connection and when replaced back to my own i cant connect the message is can't find connection it sems you are using an third party router it is the one that worked before, virgin when i phoned virgin i was told the most it could take is 4 that includes 2 and 2 or 3 and 1 wired/ wireless thans Chippy

as default this says up to 50 wireless connections
but note that the more connected then speed becomes slower
