how to make pc boot faster

hi my pc boots slow and is unuseable for about 2 mins...it runs quicktime and bitcomet and a whole bunch of software ...antivirus...firewall and so on but i have looked in the software its self and it dosent give me the option ...could someone help

1. Remove anything from your 'startup' which you do not need to pre-load.

Click, start - run - type 'msconfig' without quotes.

Look in the startup tab and remove the tick from anything you know that you do not need to start when you boot up.

Defragment the hard drive.

Remove any desktop shortcuts you can do without.

Look at the system tray (bottom right) and see what is loaded in there. See if there is an option not to load at start up with any your do not need.

I really wouldn't use msconfig. Have a look at Startup Inspector. It is a very small program and will switch off what is not needed on start up. You just click on CONSULT.
