How to install missing hotfixes

  justkevin 10:41 23 Mar 2007

I have just run Belarc after reading a post and see that I have 13 missing important hotfixes, even though I get updated autmatically. How do I install these in one go or one at a time and where do I find them

go to microsoft update site

If your system is updated automatically, going to the update site is not likely to produce a result.

You may have to install the hotfixes individually using the Knowledge Base numbers provided - insert each KB and number into the www. website's search box.

hi try it first, just done 31 hotfixes on friends pc
by going to the updater site, also on automatic update

you may want to check these services are running,it may explain why the updates havent updated automatically.
start/run/type services.msc

background intelligent transfer service
cryptographic service
remote procedure call rpc

set them to automatic (plus start the services)

Huston we have problem! not enough disk space so I can't download them.I have a D drive that is partitioned to an E drive which carries all my system files ,this has only 25 mb free space, the D drive has 60 gb free space,is there a way I can use this 60 gb space ? as the downloads all go to the partition on E drive ,which is called a Swap file.
