I have a desktop running XP with SP3 which is connected directly to my wireless router. A laptop which is running Vista Basic with SP1. I have a Netgear cable wireless router. I have setup both to work via the Netgear and both are able to access the Internet with no issues. I am running Kaspersky Internet Security 8.
Can anyone please provide step by step instructions on how to setup both PCs to see documents held on hard disk? What the settings on each should be and where the files should be? I would be grateful as I say for step by step instructions.
Worst case, I could upgrade XP to Vista if this would be easier? But again some guidance would be required.
