This morning I got an activex warning, when I tried to access my html editor it wouldn't work.

Does anyone know of a free software that can fix activex errors?

Thank you

Richard

1. Start button
2. Run
3. Type in: regsvr32 msxml3.dll
4. Click OK
5. Click OK again when prompted
6. Close all browser windows and reopen

Have you got another browser you could use to see if that would work temporary till you get I/E fixed

Hello

I have no problem with my browser, I use firefox and it is working ok.

The problem I have is with my html editor (xsitepro)
I cannot view any images or text when I should be able to.

What has this to do with this thread?

Would a system restore to yesterday fix it.
I really no nothing about Xsitepro or how it works.
This shows how to use it but does not help you fix the problem.
or Googled.

I hope someone can give you the help that you need.
Maybe give Malwarebytes a run just to see if it finds any problems.
If I download a program that needs active X I usually get a pop up above the taskbar to let me allow or deny it using W/7.
Using XP the pop up is under the Toolbar.

Hello buteman

I tried to do a system restore. It said to click one of the dates in bold, I did this twice but the system restore would not complete for some reason.

What is the ActiveX and what OS ?

  edenworkshops 08:54 10 Jan 2011

Hello

I ran malwarebytes and it picked up 346 nasties, that has cured the problem.

Thank you all very much.

Richard
