How to find IP address for any domain name?

Is there a simple way to find the static IP address for any domain name?

I'm using Zone Alarm firewall for the first time, and I'm trying to persuade it to allow Firefox to access the websites I trust. But it seems that, in order to register these websites as Trusted with Zone Alarm, I have to enter their IP addresses. The domain name won't do.

Or am I missing something?

I don't know your answer re ZoneAlarm but here is a link that I always use, just enter the website name and put a dot in Lookup (left column) hope this helps.

I use both ZoneAlarm and Firefox, and I have certainly never had to enter an IP address for anything - I just allow access when it asks. Or open ZoneAlam - go to Program Control > Programs and alter the access shown against Firefox.

...for all that useful information.

Sea Urchin. I've discovered why FF was demanding IP addresses for access. For some reason the Trusted zone was set to High Risk. I'm sure that's not right, so I've reset it to Medium, and everything seems OK now.

Yes, I have Trusted zone set to Medium and Internet zone to High, and works well. Glad you got it sorted.
