How to expand the width of the "Favorites" menu ?

  Antonio Machado 00:41 01 Nov 2009

Hello experts !

I work with Windows XP/Internet explorer and would like to writte some long tittles in my "Favorites", but the width of the pull-down box allows only about seven words, not allowing to writte more descriptive tittles. Is there any way to expand horizontally that box so longer tittles fit into it ?

Thanks in advance for your help, best, Antonio Machado.

On Windows 7 I can get at least twelve words in 'favourites' drop-down menu if IE page is fully expanded or not.

Should have added - click on favourites and expand the dropdown list with mouse cursor on the right hand edge.

Best, Antonio.

Which version of internet explorer do you have?

IE8 lets you expand to around 40% of the screen width.

If you have WORD on your system, why not create a word document, with a table two cells wide.
Put your diecription in the left row and a hyperlink to the file/ web etc in the right row.

You can then create a shortcut to that document on your desktop for easy access.
