How to dual boot Windows 7 32 and 64 bit editions

  dms_05 12:45 11 May 2009

I've just installed Windows 7 RC 32 bit having used the Beta version before. Can I now load the 64 bit RC and dual boot? If I can how do I safely achieve this? I do have dual boot of XP and Linux on one laptop so I understand some of the process but how do I do it for the two versions of 7 RC?

I think you might be better off in the Windows 7 forum.

You just install the 64 bit version to a seperate partition or disk and Windows will create the boot menu.

I thought I remembered Windows had to be in the Active Primary partition, and that already contains the 32 bit version. However it seems from Zeppelyn's comments I can install on drive D: rather than the current drive C: so I'll give it a go!
