How do I stop the menu bar from auto hiding in IE8?
Open the menu bar (by pressing the "Alt" key) and in the View menu select Toolbars and tick "Menu Bar". It should then remain in view.
No sorry that doesn't do it.I'm not sure I'm giving it the correct title when I say menu bar!It is the one at the top when you move the cursor to the top of the screen it appears. When it appears it has the 'back and forward buttons' also the URL address box, favourites, etc. This is bugging me so much!!!!
Try pressing F11 if it makes it worse press F11 again.
Or try pressing the restore down button next to the red x at the top.Once restored down drag it to the size that you want and the switch it of using the Red X it should then open at the proper size.
F11..... why didn't I think of that!!Thanks buteman:)
