How do i stop this firewall threat?

  yorkie2 19:28 16 Jan 2004

My norton firewall is detecting DM Server. exe is attempting to access the internet.
Program C:\Program Files\Comet Systems\DM\bin\DM Server.exe

It's advising me to block -"medium risk"- which i do.

This warning is happening frequently and is becoming very annoying.

Ad-aware detects "1 identified registry keys-details software\comet systems" but even after i delete it, it pops back up.
Help please.

Comet Cursor - go into safe mode adn then let adaware scan and remov it. Don't for get to update adaware first. Allow Adaware to do a Custom Scan on all drives and no just a Smart Scan...

Or Add / Remove Programs, Comet Cusror.

Thanks for your speedy reply Jester2K

My PC knowledge is pretty basic therefore " what is safe mode and how do i get there?"

My Ad-aware version is 5.83 and there's no update facility on it i can see.

Comet curser is not showing in Add/Remove programs

Oh S. Didn't refresh again:0(

It's not me it's the browser that's faulty.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I deleted my old version of Ad-aware and have downloaded version 6 and updated.

It detected comet systems again (along with 15 other items) but can't get rid of it.

I found it in c:\program files but when i tried to delete it (to the recycle bin) a window appeared saying
"cannot delete dmserver.exe : access is denied.Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use"

What does this mean?

Don't you have an option in AdAware to select the offending item and remove it?
