Select all of the text, Table > Sort...

This works whether the text is in a table or not.

From the Help:

When to use a table or a spreadsheet
You can add either a table or spreadsheet to a document to organize information in rows (cells arranged horizontally in a table or spreadsheet) and columns (cells arranged vertically in a table or spreadsheet).

The following guidelines can help you determine which one is best for your task.

If you want to arrange text or text and pictures side by side, it's best to use a table.

If you want to sort information or calculate numbers, add a Works spreadsheet to a document. You can either create a new spreadsheet or insert an existing one.

You need to use the Works spreadsheet, sort them then copy and paste into Works word processor. Or in fact create your list in ther Works spreadsheet.
