download "dvd shrink" which is free, and it will do it for you..

Saving them to HDD is easy
but can you 'process' them is another.
Put the disk in your drive. but don't 'run' it
right click open when open drag over the contents and right click copy.
Now move to the desired destination on your 'C' drive and right click paste.
That's the easy bit
DVD can have anti copy devices built in sooooo you could be wasting your time.

New to computers so you will have to explain ie you say right click open, but open over what?? etc

jack means right click over the cd drive letter and then open.

jack means you right click on the DVD drive with the DVD in it and a box comes up, you left click on the file that says open and then copy and paste. However if this is a commercial copyright DVD it may not work and even if it does you still might not be able to get it off the hard drive and on to your sons PSP because of the copy protection.
I don't actually know how to do this anyway as I don't have a PSP but its against the rules of the Forum to post on items that involve getting round copy protection on copyright items and I suspect that doing this may be against the rules as you are not allowed to copy a commercial DVD.
I think your best bet would be to do a google search for a PSP forum which will probably tell you how to do it.
