How do I run 2 printers

  caris 14:27 12 Jan 2008

on my computer so that I can choose which one to use.
I have a Canon printer which is very cheap on inks and an all in one Lexmark printer.

I would like to be able to chose the Canon printer for my ordinary black print outs.

Thanks for your help.

With them both connected, you can go into Control Panel>Printers and Faxes and make whichever printer you want to use for a particular job, the Default printer.

Or get a two-port switch ... click here

Just connect them to two different USB ports.

When you choose Print in an application, you select which printer to use, with the drop down arrow in the print box.

Whichever printer you use most - set as the default printer.

Some of my studio machines have six printers attached. Problem arise if you try and install two printers of the same model - don't!

Thanks everyone.
It's simple when you know how.
