Cant i do this from within windows ? I can get to the drive managment console and can see both partitions and I can select the partition I want to delete but when I right click on it there is no delete option and I cant find a delete option anywhere on screen ???
XP was not installed over 98 it was installed as a fresh OS on a new partition, so the 98 partition is redundant. If I stick the xp cd in and boot from that if I select "repair" can I delete the partition 98 is on ?
So the only way of removing this 98 partition is to reinstall XP from scratch and lose all my programs and settings ? Or can I delete the 98 partition using the XP repair menu, and then repair the XP partition that was left behind ?
