Open the email, save it to my documents or where you want, then drag it to the memory stick

Or even - open the email and save it to the memory stick ;-))

I fact in Thunderbird (3 - can't try in 2 now) - you can open explorer to see the usb stick - then drag it straight from the Inbox onto the stick.

In fact looking closer, and for general interest (and my surprise I might add), you can drag and drop to and from from the Thunderbird email folders to other storage areaa, quite freely.

Quite a simple way to backup and restore emails.

Aologies if everyone knows this and I've only just found out :-))

File - Save as - File - just like anywhere else.

Wow - I answered you 4 mins before you asked the question ;-))
