how do I know what line I'm on?

In my desperate attempt to solve a popup not popping up problem (click here)
I keep getting 'runtime' error messages telling me there's an error on line such and such.. how do I know where line 90 or whatever is in my html if the lines aren't numbered? (am I supposed to count -or have I got the wrong idea?) Also, something called Microsoft script editor keeps offering to help debug me - should I click yes? I'm in Netobjects fusion 9.

I guess you use an html checker

I had to search for this thread, as I have the same problem right now. What HTML checker did you use?

I've forgotten! But I'm pretty sure it was the free trial version of netmechanic, into which I put a page of my site then it gave a read out of the page with each line numbered and the errors highlighted in different colours according to type of error.

Okay, thanks, mco. I'll do a search for it and maybe give it a go.
