How do I identify modem type/driver please

The modem isn't working either on my lad's PC.

When it is switched on it recognises the hardware as a PCI Comm. device but I haven't got the driver nor do I know what driver I need.

Download Belarc Advisor, see if it will give you the modem's manufacturer. click here

Or Aida will also tell you, find out the make and model of the modem and post it here, someone will sort out the correct driver for you.click here

Or click here to get Aida32 a similar program to Belarc.

I could be wrong here but a Linksys LNE100TX(v5) Fast Ethernet Adapter, isn't a modem, it's an ethernet card isn't it? Are you sure you have a modem installed, Halmer?
