How do I find which graphics cards are suitable?

  STARIE 12:40 05 Apr 2004

I cannot find my motherboard manufacturer's website and do not know which graphics cards would be compatable with my motherboard.

I have a Gigabyte GA-7VKMLS motherboard which has 3 empty PCI slots but no AGP slot. My processor is an AMD Duron 1300Mhz and I have 256MB 133Mhz SDRAM which I am about to upgrade to 512MB. I currently use the on board graphics and would like a very cheap graphics card to give better performance.

I am not a gamer, but do occassionally use a webcam. I am not concerned about how quickly the card will be out of date as long as it does the job for a low price. Please help.

Looks like you will need a PCI graffix card.

But will any PCI card fit, or do they have min spec re: cpu and RAM etc.

With a 1300 duron and 512 mb ram it will run any pci graphics card so get the highest amount of graphics card ram you can afford.
