How do I find these files to rename them to 'old'?

Rename the following files by changing the extension to .old:
• Rename %Windir%\system32\WgaLogon.dll to %Windir%\system32\WgaLogon.old
• Rename %Windir%\system32\WgaTray.exe to %Windir%\system32\WgaTray.old

Just go to c:\windows\system32 and you should see them. You may have to enable showing of hidden files:

1. Click Start.
2. Click My Computer.
3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
4. Select the View Tab.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
6. Click Yes to confirm.
7. Uncheck the Hide file extensions for known file types.
8. Click OK.

%Windir% means the directory that Windows is in.

It will normally be C:\windows

So you will find the files in c:\windows\system32

If they are hidden they may not show up - so change the settings in Explorer

Tools - Options - View tab - mark Show hidden files and folders and ummark the two Hide etc underneath the Show etc.

Hope that's slightly clearer than mud.
