How do I contact Belkin?

  pj123 15:52 10 Jan 2006

I have just bought a Belkin product but it is not what the description said. I am trying to contact them via their telephone number 00 800 2 2355460 but all I get is number unobtainable.

On their website it says: "* Please dial the complete number exactly as indicated, beginning with 00. Regardless of your location, do NOT drop the 00."

If I try 0 800 2 2355460 all I get is : "The number you have dialled has not been recognised"

How do I contact them?

Would it not be better to go back to the retailer?

What product was it and what's wrong with it / should it be?

That is a strange phone number 00 is the dialling code to get out of the UK for International calls and 800 numbers are the toll free numbers within the USA which you cannot dial from the UK as far as I know.

Can you not use the Belkin UK website click here

try this for an RMA number, my faulty network adaptor was changed within the week

as pj123 has said, you go back to where you purchased it from 1st

PaulB2005, I don't know whether I should go back to the retailer or not. I rang them before buying but they could not tell me anything about the product they are selling as it is in a sealed box.

There is nothing wrong with the product I got but according to the description here: click here it should have an "Included" PC Card Wireless Adapter but it didn't.

The actual description was: Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless Kit. Which was supposed to include the PC Wireless Adapter for the second computer.

That now means I have got to buy the PC Card Wireless Adapter separately.

The F5D7230-4 would appear to be this - click here

Although - click here

"The package includes one wireless access point/router with 4 ports for connections wired by standard ethernet cables, one wireless network card for your laptop, one Cat5e ethernet cable, and an installation guide and user manual. "

What is the F5 code on the item you have? Usually next to the barcode.

PaulB2005, above the bar code it says:

F5D7230uk4. But my description didn't say "one wireless network card for your laptop" either. It said "PC Card Wireless Adapter" which I assume was a PCI card.

There is another thread from someone who has in fact actually contacted BELKIN and I have asked them for the phone number they used. Whether I get an answer or not is another matter.

This Belkin Phone number is correct I have just tried it without any problem. If you do get through you will more that likely be put in a que and it could take several attempts to get through.

  PaulB2005 17:13 10 Jan 2006

That number also works fine here (UK). With the double zero...

  BRYNIT 17:14 10 Jan 2006

As the web site states you must dial the number in full with the two zero's infront of the 800 number.

  pj123 17:22 10 Jan 2006

But that is the number I dialled in the first place.

It doesn't work, which is why I posted it in case someone had a different number?
